Communication and integration
Extend handles various technologies for integration with the existing ERP system, and supports many types of hardware and operating systems. The Extend client is a thin client which communicates continuously with the server using WLAN. All logics are handled in the Extend server and the sessions are connected by user ID or IP address for maximum security.
The server handles communication with the ERP system and the data; it also automatically updates the screen of the mobile clients. Any error messages from the ERP system are mirrored to the clients, making error handling easy and fast, e.g. at the conveyor. The client also has built-in automatic updates.
